About EcoGreen Construction
Scott Parisi
President
Scott founded EcoGreen in 2008 with a goal to support sustainability in the hospitality space. Currently, Scott leads EcoGreen’s two major divisions guiding team members operating EcoGreen and EcoGreen Constructions Services. As President of EcoGreen, Scott’s day-to-day focus is on supporting a team of talented individuals to support the new construction and renovations of hospitality facilities. Our vendor-neutral approach with a high focus on client satisfaction and retention has allowed EcoGreen to be a part of multiple projects within the hospitality industry. Before launching EcoGreen, Scott found his passion for resource conservation and sustainability serving as the General Manager of the first LEED certified Hotel in the United States; the Sheraton Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA. Scott spent eighteen years in the hospitality sector eventually serving as Vice President of Operations overseeing acquisition and renovation of branded hotels including IHG, Starwood, Hilton, Wyndham, and Choice Hotels.
Geoff Grochmal
Senior Director of Procurement
Geoff joined EcoGreen after he graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts and International Affairs degree as well as a major in Economics. Since 2010 Geoff has been bidding on hospitality renovations and new construction projects. Geoff and his team have developed great relationships with national vendors that specialize in hospitality construction. He also leads his team in handling all logistics to ensure products and equipment arrive onsite on time with direct coordination with the site.
Charlotte Hockensmith
Executive Assistant
Charlotte joined EcoGreen in 2016 following a career in Utility Project Management. Charlotte is heavily involved in project budgeting. She leads subcontractor compliance, insurance, and payment submittals once obtained and processed. In addition, Charlotte tracks and provides direction on all requests for information and submittals to ensure a good flow of information between contractors, civil engineers, architects, and the EcoGreen Team. And finally, as our chief communicator, Charlotte excels at progress reporting to the brand and ownership. Prior to her project management experience, Charlotte spent fourteen years as Administrative Secretary Kentucky Cabinet for Natural Resources, Frankfort, KY and six years administrating master contract for AT&T for underground cable and wiring.
Donald Lesmerises
Director of Finance
Donald joined EcoGreen in 2010. Don brings over 30 years of business experience, a majority of his career with Nortel Networks. Don’s educational background is in Electrical Engineering, earning a BS degree from the University of Lowell before continuing to the Southern University of New Hampshire for his MBA. Don and his team handle all vendor and client accounting. He also handles all tax and licensing needs across more than 30 states EcoGreen has conducted business in.
Joe Cannava
Director of Projects
Joe joined the EcoGreen Team to support new build and renovation projects. His experience within his previous role with Choice Hotel International brings a deep understanding of hospitality project management, scheduling, budget controls, and safety procedures. He also oversees EcoGreen site’s managers for planning, architect, civil coordination, city & state approvals, and client relationships. Before joining Choice Hotels International, Joe spent more than 20 years in the residential and commercial construction industry building retail, restaurants both stand-alone and multi-use developments.
Victor Osowski
Senior Project Manager
Victor came to us from a lengthy career in hospitality construction. He handles project scheduling, direct supervision of superintendents and subcontractors keeping our projects safe, on schedule, and on budget. He brings his experience as well as his network of trusted trade allies developed over his years spent in the construction industry. With more than 35 years of construction management experience, Vic brings a disciplined emphasis on meeting deadlines and completing projects within or below budget with priority toward safety and quality control even under the most demanding conditions.
Manuel Hernandez
Site Manager
Manuel focuses on safety and quality control through direct management of our subcontractors and vendor partners. Prior to joining EcoGreen Manuel worked throughout the United States and Puerto Rico for brands such as Wyndham, Sheraton and Marriott. His operational experience with renovations, repositioning and development of hotels adds a unique approach to managing the quality and safety of our projects. Over the past several years Manuel has recruited and managed our team of self-performers for projects including drywall, finishing, painting, vinyl wallcovering, flooring and FF&E installations. His knowledge of hospitality mixed with his direct experience with renovation projects brings a great sense of detail and management needed to deliver a project in the final phase through brand and city approvals.
Brandon Kestner
Site Manager
Brandon joined the EcoGreen Team after serving with Thomas Builders constructing hospitality developments ranging from 4 story to 7 story buildings. He has been directly involved with a “hands-on” approach of commercial electrical, plumbing, framing, roofing, heavy equipment operation, concrete footers, slabs, building layout, blueprint reading, and interpretation. Brandon has a very strong knowledge of national building codes and ADA-compliance codes. With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality construction industry in a supervisory role, he brings a deep knowledge base to the EcoGreen Team. From planning to opening, Brandon’s focus on timeline and budget combined with his ability to bring solutions to any obstacle makes him an extremely valuable site manager.
Giles King
Energy and Sustainability Manager
Giles leads EcoGreen’s (UMP) Utility Management Program including processing and analyzing energy and water cost and usage across several Management Companies. Part of the program involves providing utility reporting and compliance of LightStay, GreenEngage, MESH, and Thrive. Giles has a pulse on all energy and water markets providing our clients with intelligence to ensure our clients procure their energy and water at the lowest cost per unit possible. Giles also drives savings through challenging utility bill charges, landscaping sewer credits, and cooling tower evaporation credits.
Giles has a vast knowledge of Energy and Water savings strategies and technologies that we integrate into all our new build and renovation projects. Giles has been involved with over a hundred successful energy and water reduction projects for EcoGreen.
